He holds an M.Ch in Minimal Access Surgery from the prestigious All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, an MS in General Surgery from AIIMS, Jodhpur, and an MBBS from Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH), Patna.

Dr. Kumar is also certified in Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and holds fellowships from recognized surgical associations, including FMAS (Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery) and FIAGES (Fellowship of Indian Association of Gastrointestinal Endo Surgeons).
